I am so blessed to be able to work with my Mom. She was my biggest supporter as I made the decision to become a placenta encapsulation specialist, nearly four years ago! When I became a mother just over two years ago, she was an integral piece of keeping my blossoming business afloat. There were times when it seemed daunting to drive to the hospitals and homes of parents that I support with placenta encapsulation in Abbotsford, Mission, Langley, Chilliwack and Maple Ridge with a (car hating) infant in tow, and she was always on the ready to take on the weight of driving-rain or shine, wind or snow! She was also always willing to hang out with my daughter while I went through the process of sterilizing, processing, packaging and cleaning with each encapsulation service I performed. All of this generosity without expecting anything in return. The love of a supportive mother in action.
As my daughter got bigger, and hated the car less, the need for me to ask my Mom to be my second pair of hands, and second set of wheels began to diminish, but it became apparent that we both enjoyed the arrangement that we'd struck up. I've been so lucky to be supported by my community as I've taken on the adventure of encapsulating placentas in the Fraser Valley and can't thank each and every family that has booked in for my services enough. Due to your wonderful support I have been able to grow this business into something that helps to support both my Mom and I. It is now Ours. She has become our full time driver, has lent space in her spotless home (she seriously has x-ray vision for dirt), and has been known to tell anyone and everyone willing to listen about the important service that we provide in the Fraser Valley. She is also fully trained to encapsulate, so there's never a circumstance that would leave us unavailable to a client.
I love my Mom dearly, and it just seems so right that a mother-daughter duo would be helping new parent-child duos transition into life together smoothly. This little post is just to officially welcome her to the team (and to show off a fancy photo of us together, so you know who you're trusting this special process to!)
